As a Salt Lake City native, the mountains that loom just outside of my backdoor have played a huge part in shaping my life. I was introduced to skiing at age two and eventually switched to snowboarding in 1999; in that time, I’ve had a constant urge to gain elevation – to live a life enriched by the mountains.
In 2011, I graduated with a degree in Mass Communication/News and Editorial Journalism and with a minor in Italian from the University of Utah; shortly thereafter, my passions for snowboarding and travel led me to the French Alps, where I worked with the marketing and product development teams at Salomon Snowboards’ global headquarters.
During my time in France, I quickly recognized that the mountain and snowboard lifestyle is truly a global passion. The industry that helps fuel that passion is dynamic, unique, and – throughout my various work experiences – it’s started to feel like home.
After a three-year tour of marketing, product, and sales-based jobs in the snowboard industry, I am now working exclusively as a journalist and brand consultant. With a clear focus on documenting adventure, amazing locales, and cultural experiences, it is my desire to streamline the efforts of brands and individuals to enhance this fun and exciting industry.
Everyone has a story; someone has to tell it.
I aspire to be that person.
A little more about me: I am passionate about the culinary arts, photography, and playing Blues music. I am fluent in French and Italian and I am currently learning Spanish.
